Vehicle cannot be loaded under its own power. This car has all the options except an AM/FM radio it is well worth putting in the effort to make it look like new.Ĭustomer responsible for shipping. Fully restored show winning Monaco Editions have sold for six figures. The intent was to restore this car as I have a dozen others, ut, ith kids there is no time to do any full restorations. The engine runs with a temporary gas supply, he fuel system needs to be cleaned due to the ethanol fuel sitting for more than 3 months. The body still has most of its original white paint. The right front fender is in the worst shape, nd I have a rust free fender that will go with the car. The body overall is good, ut has some damage (the prior owner was very elderly) to the sides. The original color scheme was black with silver valve covers and air cleaner. The engine has obviously been rebuilt, s it was painted blue. It also has a new alternator, Ford remanufactured power steering pump, ew belts, oses, tc. Over the last couple of years, have installed a new correct single exhaust system, ew brakes (only new components, ever rebuilt brake parts!), ew fuel lines, nd gas tank. The car has no rust underneath, ut some in the trunk between the trunk lid and the rear window, nd a little in the middle of the roof where Ford installed the landau top over what looks to be bare metal. All of the rare Monaco trim is still in the car with the exception of the spinner hubcaps. It also has the optional front seat belts. The seats are in good condition, ith only a stain on the passenger seat base (see pictures). It also comes with factory air conditioning and the original AM radio (which does work). This is a rare car, ot only for the Monaco option, ut it comes with white leather interior, ower steering, indows, rakes, nd a power driver's seat. It has a clear Virginia title in my name. This car was purchased new in California I still have the original black plates dated 1963. According to our national Thunderbird registry, ewer than 100 Monaco editions remain. This is car number 1169 of 2000 produced. in cooperation with the seller.Up for sale is a 1963 Ford Thunderbird Principality of Monaco Edition. NOTE: The original title is lost and in the process of being replaced. I am selling because I simply do not have the time to spend on this car that it deserves. The gentlemanwe purchasedthe carfrom said it was running and he was driving itbefore he parked it in thegarage4 or5years ago. The best description I can come up with is "Barn Fresh Original" There is a little rust on the quarter panelsthat can be repaired and the trunk floor will likely need to be replaced if restoring. It does need some TLC to be bought back to it's former glory, however, most ofthe parts are there, intact and can be restored (even the hubcaps). This Car is number 1776 of 2000 and was found in the garage of a 100 year old house in midtown Kansas City.It isthe 63B trim package with the single exhaust 390/300horse single exhaust 'Z' Code V8.The mileage is 88,032. The '63 Birds all came Standard with a single exhaust 390/300 horse "Z" Code V8 but, a few were equipped with the "Thunderbird Special" dual exhaust ', and larger Holley Carb which produced 330 h.p. This special model cost an amazing $200 more than the 'regular', standard issue Bird and had a base price of $4,748. They also were accented with Simulated Rosewood Accents on the Dash and Door panels (instead of Walnut or Ribbed Metal of the Convertible). Plus, each car featured the "S" Landau Bar on the side of the Hardtop, a Special Badge emblazoned with the Crest of Monaco on the dash with number built (1 to 2,000). Each carried Special Spinner Hubcaps, Gold Piping on the Seats, Gold Inserts on the Hubcaps and the Rim of the Steering Wheel. Each were built in Corinthian White and had White Leather or Vinyl Bucket Seats, White Steering Wheel, and Dark Rose Colored Long Grain Vinyl Tops. Of those, only 2,000 were the Special Edition Principality of Monaco Thunderbirds. Ford built 42,806 'Standard' Thunderbird Coupes in 1963, however, only 14,139 had the optional Landau Coupe body with the 63B nomenclature on the Trim Tag. Introduced, in the spring of 1963 (Ford traditionally introduces new models in September), they instantly became known as the "Princess Monaco T-Bird". There are less than 30 still known to exist. Only 2,000 of these unique cars were built. This is one of those odd, Limited Edition Automobiles that only a crazed Ford Nut or Thunderbird Aficionado might be aware Ford ever offered. 1963 Ford Thunderbird Landau Coupe Description
